Joe is a resident of Emmetsburg, where he resides with his wife, Anna, and their four children. He is an alumnus of Iowa Lakes Community College and the University of Northern Iowa.

After graduating from high school, Joe joined the U.S. Navy and served four years in the Navy Seabees. He is currently a dedicated stay-at-home parent and serves on the Emmetsburg Public Library Board. Drawing on his professional background with Horizons Unlimited, Joe remains committed to the well-being of local citizens and continues to foster strong community connections.
