OPTION 4: Bequeath in Will
You may name “Horizons Unlimited of Palo Alto County, Inc.” in your will.
OPTION 5: Gift of Life Insurance
You may grant a gift of an old or new policy with “Horizons Unlimited of Palo Alto County, Inc.” as beneficiary and owner.
OPTION 6: Living Trust
You may name “Horizons Unlimited of Palo Alto County, Inc.” as the recipient of a trust you establish to take effect during your lifetime.
OPTION 7: Gift of Retirement Plan
You may name “Horizons Unlimited of Palo Alto County, Inc.” as the remainder beneficiary of your retirement plan after your death.
Gifts of $1,000 to $10,000 to the Horizons Unlimited Endowment Fund will receive a 25% match to accelerate the growth of the endowment for the future sustainability of Horizons Unlimited. Matching funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Gifts to the endowment fund are also eligible to receive a 25% state tax credit through the Endow Iowa Program. The Palo Alto County Gaming Development Corporation (PACGDC) continues to support the work of the Community Foundation through available match dollars to create new fund opportunities benefiting local nonprofit agencies.
If you are interested in getting involved in our matching gift campaign, you may donate by cash or making your check payable to Horizons Unlimited Endowment Fund and mailing it to the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, 3117 Greenhill Circle, Cedar Falls, Iowa 50613 or you may mail it or drop it off at Horizons Unlimited, 2107 Main Street, Emmetsburg, Iowa 50536.
Endowment gifts do not replace annual giving but they represent a special gift, making it possible for us to serve our community for generations to come! A few ways to give for this campaign include cash, stock gifts, an IRA charitable rollover, or gifts of grain.
For the future, you might want to explore the idea of leaving a planned gift to our endowment fund in your will or naming the Fund one of the beneficiaries of your retirement plan.
